I work locally and was craving a cafe sandwich. Upon arrival.i was greeted so pleasantly. I was already frustrated as 8 had already visited two cafes which didnt accept card which was my only way of payment. The man who served me was lovely and polite even to the women behind me he made her know he wouldn't be long before he served her. Just amazing all together you want to learn excellent customer service skills then this is the place to visit!!!!
Absolutely lovely place, very clean, very friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing, not too badly priced would definitely recommend and will definitely be going again. Thank you to the staff for a very warm welcome x
Good food and friendly service. Only thing is putting away and cleaning the cutlery, it seems to be on the table for a long time when I came in and the tables up stairs are not cleaned away quickly either, people had to ask for them to be moved so they could sit down.
A Hidden Gem This quaint village cafe offers superb food, great coffee (with milk alternatives), and a friendly atmosphere. The owners and staff are welcoming, and the location is central.
The food is nice but be willing to wait. Waiting in this line is like waiting for pensioners waiting to pick up the pension in a post office. You have a huge tea pot on which is great but a tiny milk jug on where it is sufficient for 1 normal size mug so I hope you like it builders style. Upstairs is a weird layout sofas on one side and tables and chairs on the other right by the toilets on what is not appealing when you see somone rush / run in and strole out happy as your about to tuck into a sosage. You know what they did and they always smile at you, what feels a a bit creepy and puts you off your food. The desserts are nice loads of different types you should always order these when you order your desserts with the meal as a second time in the que would destroy even the hardest of waiters. You get to know the people in the que as they are also going though the same pain waiting so you have something in common on which is nice. So overall great food nice enough people who just don't stop talking on which you wish would hurry up. If you go in there with somone you like it's great as you don't mind the conversation but if you go in with somone you don't like I pray for you it will be a long experience. Thank you great food kiss kiss Steve
Jilly's Coffee Shop is a hidden gem, quality food, a wide range of snacks and meals always available and, a vista of desserts to tempt even Angels. It has for many years always been my top table when eating out during the day. Let your taste buds realise their potential, visit soon.
Don't go there often because it's usually quite full. But today we found a table (away from everyone because of Covid) so we ordered two poached eggs on sourdough bread (2 eggs) with avacado, a horlicks for her and a cappuccino for me. A very enjoyable half hour. Food and drinks were good. Then the place started getting busy so we left to carry out the rest of our errands. Go there - get some!
Friendly helpful staff, freshly made food with generous portions. Wide variety of choice of food and drink. Downstairs has a baby changing unit along with a disabled toilet. Upstairs and downstairs seating available as well as outside. Also does food to takeaway.
